Newlywed Eva Longoria has been banned from having children by her Desperate Housewives boss.
The show's creator Marc Cherry told the couple during his wedding speech that Eva - who married basketball star Tony Parker in Paris on Saturday - can't get pregnant for at least a year because it hasn't been written into her character Gabrielle Solis' storyline.
Eva insists she is "fine" with the pregnancy ban and is looking forward to spending time alone with her new husband.
She told America's OK! magazine: "We're fine with that. We want to spend some time with each other, even though we want kids very much."
The couple opted for a traditional Roman Catholic wedding at Paris' Saint Germain l'Auxerrois church.
